Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 Reserva 2012

The Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 Reserva Cosecha has had cigar aficionados eagerly waiting for the official release. The reserva Series features different packaging and a black and silver band. This differentiates the cigars from there standard release as they only use tobaccos that have been aged a minimum of three years, with this particular release using tobaccos from 2012.

Another difference from the standard release epicure No.2’s is that the Hoyo and Epicure bands have been combined into 1 band, rather than 2 separate bands

The Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2  Reserva Cosecha 2012 Cigar is another addition to the Habanos S.A limited edition cigars. The announcement came in 2016 at the Habanos Festival – sparking aficionados hunger to try the new smoke.

This Hoyo de Monterrey cigar features a Robusto vitola that measures at 124mm by a 40 ring gauge.

This smoke has had an extra 3 years of ageing – giving its flavors time to grow even deeper. Overall it’s a rich and aromatic smoke.

Origin: Cuban

Up close, the cigar does not have three bands, just two. The band of the brand and the name of the line are in fact one, while the second is the classic Reserva band with the silver on black. Visually, the cigar is roll in a Colorado Maduro wrapper, that is darker then than the usual regular production Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2. It is smooth to the touch.
